Wednesday, June 4, 2008 – Lawriter, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Collexis Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: CLXS), a leading developer of high definition search and knowledge discovery software, has signed five year renewal agreements with the State Bar Associations of Idaho, Indiana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. These five year agreements offer Casemaker® online legal research tools to attorneys, who are members of their state bar association.
Indiana State Bar Association executive director Tomas Pryz stated, “Casemaker® is without question the number one benefit of membership in our state bar association.” Pryz further explained, “Casemaker® is easily accessible while traveling or at home. Our members love it."
Casemaker® is currently the US market leader, with 28 states under similar multi-year contracts, creating the Casemaker® Consortium of State Bar Associations. The platform is available to attorneys exclusively through bar associations.
Steve Newsom, general manager for Lawriter, stated: “We are very excited about the future of Casemaker® as our bar consortia members have renewed their agreements with us. They have expressed their confidence in Casemaker® as we have made significant investments in expanding our library alone and considerable more investments were made launching the Casemaker® 2.0 platform.”
These improvements allow users to efficiently search over 11 million documents, such as federal and state statutes, codes, rules, and case law from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. Users can now access information with conceptual and flexible searching, automatically applying logic and making their search more intuitive.
Another new Casemaker® feature is relevance linking of Case and Code search results, and there are plans to expand Casemaker’s offering with new treatise’s materials and products. Customer service options have been upgraded, and now users will be able to access 24/7 customer support and free interactive webinar training.
